About
Born in June 1978; got the french “Économique & Social” baccalaureate; graduated from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) in 2003 with an MA (Bac +5) in advertising, specializing in conceptualisation and copywriting; got hit on my head in 2004, and consequently accomplished my conscription at the Military School, during which I sketched a lot out of despair and essential boredom.
Since 2003, I’ve been working as a freelance multimedia polygam polymorp polyvalent designer, illustrator and animator.
The pencil
I discovered the pencil early. Nothing escaped from my vindictive scribbling. I was a happy vandal. Not only did I use the drawing side of the instrument, but also the eraser side, with which I’d drill holes from cover to cover in my mathematics school books.
Burning the pencil to watch the bubbles on the boiling paint was also an immense thrill; other pencil-based activities included cutting out the wood and crushing the lead into a fine powder which I’d usually blow (away) in the air.
It is true that nowadays, I brun less pencils and draw more with them :) But weirdly enough, it’s the same kind of pleasure.
My love story with a machine
I have had the pleasure to own an Atari 130XE ‘personal computer’ in the late 80′s, and that undoubtedly shaped my everlasting friendship with the ‘machine’. Familiarity with various operating systems, avidity, GREED in the usage of all kinds of software opened a natural road towards development and design for the web; my first encounter with HTML was in 1998, when I began designing personal websites; since 2003, I plan, design and implement websites for people out there.
